Joyya was founded through the merger of three companies that knew they would be better together. One of these companies is Freeset Global, who we partnered with to make our very first "It's Time to Save the F**king World" t-shirts back in 2021.
Joyya originally started back in 2001 in Kolkata, India, with one ambitious goal: to spark opportunity where little is found until we see an end to the horrors of extreme poverty and human trafficking.
This is the beginning of our new journey together.
Joyya employs a community of women freed from extreme poverty and India's sex slavery trade.
The making of this T-shirt is part of their journey back to fair work, an opportunity to restore dignity, and regain control of their lives in a supporting, caring community. With her friends and neighbours often among the thousands still trapped in prostitution, she is a symbol of hope.
